＜大王製紙エリエールレディスオープン 初日＞◇19日◇エリエールゴルフクラブ松山（(6,442ヤード・パー72)
愛媛県松山市にあるエリエールゴルフクラブ松山で開幕した、国内女子ツアー「大王製紙エリエールレディスオープン」の初日。逆転賞金女王へは優勝が絶対条件の横峯さくらは、4バーディ・2ボギーの2アンダーでまわり首位とは4打差の11位タイ発進となった。
横峯は3番でボギーが先行したが、5番でバーディを奪い前半はイーブン。この日はバーディ合戦が繰り広げられ、遅れをとって後半に入ったが11番、12番で連続バーディを奪ってアンダーパーグループに。直後の13番でボギーを叩いてしまうが、最終18番をきっちりバーディとし初日を終えた。
上位陣にやや差をつけられた形になった横峯は「2アンダーはまずまずですね。他の選手はけっこうスコアが出てますから」と自分の位置をしっかり確認。賞金ランキング首位のアン・ソンジュ(韓国)のスコアも「気にせずやってます」と意に介さず、あくまで自分のプレーに徹していく姿勢を見せた。
首位に立ったのは6アンダーの川原由維、1打差の2位タイには馬場ゆかり、福嶋晃子、北田瑠衣の3選手。アン・ソンジュは横峯と同じ11位タイ、ディフェンディングチャンピオンの有村智恵は1アンダー22位タイとなっている。

国内男子ツアー開幕戦「東建ホームメイトカップ」が、三重県にある東建多度カントリークラブ・名古屋で12日(木)に開幕する。この日は大事な初戦を前に、各選手入念にラウンド練習を行った。

昨日1日ゆっくりしたという石川遼は、その後素振りとアプローチの練習をおよそ3時間かけて行った。次のステップのために新しい打ち方に挑戦。「1つでも引き出しが増えれば」とこれまでサンドウェッジを使うことが多かったが、52度のウェッジでコロがす打ち方を取り入れた。この日はラウンドは行わなかったものの、夕方から新しいアプローチの打ち方や、アドレスのチェックなどを真剣な表情で行った。
いよいよ2日後に迫った開幕戦。石川は舞台となる東建多度カントリークラブについて「世界に通用するコース」と話す。「風の読みやグリーンが難しい。同じホールでも日によって違う表情になっている」と警戒。米国ツアー帰りの飛行機の中では、これまでの良かった点、悪かった点を頭の中で何度も繰り返した。
このコースを回るのは今年で5度目となる。「知らないところはない。明日は(今年)初めて(プロアマで)ラウンドしますが、しっかりとチェックしていきたい。悪くても気にせず“切れを出していきたい”」と意気込みを語った。
この日は予選ラウンドの組み合わせが発表され、石川はディフェンディングチャンピオンの高山忠洋、昨年の「マイナビABCチャンピオンシップゴルフトーナメント」で初優勝を挙げた河野晃一郎と、8時40分に1番ティからスタートすることが決まった。

国内男子ツアー開幕戦「東建ホームメイトカップ」が、三重県にある東建多度カントリークラブ・名古屋で12日(木)に開幕。プロアマ大会が行われるこの日は、スタート前に昨年末に亡くなった杉原輝雄氏の追悼セレモニーが実施され、尾崎将司、谷口徹、片山晋呉、石川遼、池田勇太らが出席。黙祷をささげたあと、スモークボールでティショットを放ち故人を偲んだ。

プロを代表して杉原氏とともに、日本のゴルフ界を背負ってきたジャンボ尾崎が挨拶。「僕は杉原さんのことを杉原のオッサンと呼んでいる。ゴルフ界にすばらしい功績を残したオッサン。アマチュアに対してやさしかったオッサン。小さい体でジャンボ尾崎に挑んできたオッサンに、感謝という言葉でを贈りたい。今頃、雨空の向こうで見守ってくれていると思います」とジャンボらしい言葉で杉原氏にお礼の言葉を述べた。

国内男子ツアー開幕戦「東建ホームメイトカップ」が、三重県にある東建多度カントリークラブ・名古屋で12日(木)に開幕。この日は朝から雨が降るあいにくの天気だったが、プロアマが開催され石川遼も出場。短縮となった9ホールでしっかりと最終調整を行った。

昨年未勝利に終わった石川は、今年は勝利数にこだわりたいと話したが、具体的な数字はあげなかった。「すべての試合で同じだけ勝つチャンスはあると思うので、勝つチャンスをつくるということが重要」と1試合1試合を大事に戦っていきたいと話した。
この日はOUTコースしか回ることができなかったが「このコースは知らないところはないので、回れなかったINコースは頭の中でしっかりとイメージして明日に備えたい」とコメント。「(開幕から)3試合の中で1試合は優勝争いに加わっていなくてはいけない思っている」とシーズン序盤の意気込みを語った。
昨年大会は1打差2位で最終日を迎えるも、序盤からスコアを落としてしまい3位でフィニッシュ。今年はどんなスタートを切るか。

2012年の国内男子ツアーが、今年も「東建ホームメイトカップ」で開幕。12月の最終戦「ゴルフ日本シリーズJTカップ」までの25試合、9か月間に及ぶ長いシーズンがスタートする。昨年賞金王となったベ・サンムン(韓国)は今季は米ツアーに拠点を移し、「トランジションズ選手権」ではプレーオフに残るなどすでにその力を海の向こうで存分に発揮している。絶対的な強さを誇った王者がいなくなった今シーズン。やはり期待されるのはこの男の活躍だ。

石川遼は08年にプロ転向後、09年は4勝を挙げ賞金王、10年は3勝と着実に勝利数を積み重ねてきたが、昨シーズンは優勝争いには加わるものの勝負どころでのミスが目立ち未勝利。節目の10勝目を前に足踏みを繰り返している。米ツアーの特別一時会員資格を手にし、米ツアーへの参戦と共に日本ツアーへの出場が減ることも予想されるが、今年もツアーの中心はこの20歳であることは間違いない。シーズン開幕からその戦いに多くの視線が注がれる。
その石川の前に立ちはだかる存在となるのは、10年の賞金王である金庚泰(キム・キョンテ)(韓国)が最有力だ。米ツアーへの参戦を目指していたが、昨年末の米ツアー予選会を一旦回避。今季は日本ツアーに主戦場を置きつつ米ツアーのシード権を狙っていく意向を示している。昨年は多忙なスケジュールから調子を落とし存在感が薄かったがその実力は折り紙つき。韓国の怪物が静かに闘志を燃やしている。
闘志を燃やしているのはもちろんこの2人だけではない。昨年は1勝にとどまり不本意なシーズンとなった池田勇太は巻き返しのシーズンへ向けアジアンツアーに積極参戦するなどその牙を研いでいる。不惑を迎えてなお進化を止めない藤田寛之、谷口徹、河井博大、平塚哲二といったアラフォーマスターらからも目が離せない。さらに、昨年2勝を挙げた高山忠洋を筆頭に、宮本勝昌、近藤共弘、矢野東、谷原秀人、宮里優作といった中堅の奮起も待たれるところ。諸藤将次、薗田峻輔、上井邦浩ら若手有望株も巻き込んで、若手、ベテラン、中堅、海外勢が主役の座を争う群雄割拠の男子ツアーが幕を開ける。

Warriors sign Andrew Bogut to extension
Center Andrew Bogut has signed a three-year contract extension that could be worth $42 million with theGolden State Warriors, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
If Bogut stays on the floor and performs as a top-seven center in the NBA, he's likely to reach the bonus incentives that could push the deal to approximately $42 million, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
Bogut's agent, David Bauman, and Warriors general manager Bob Myers designed a contract for Bogut that will allow for payroll flexibility over the course of the three years, a league source told Yahoo Sports. Bogut will make $13 million-plus in 2014-15 before his annual base salary descends by 7.5 percent to $12 million in 2015-16 and to $11 million 2016-17.
After fighting injuries over the past few years, Bogut was traded to the Warriors in March 2012 and has become an integral part of a core the organization believes can eventually push for championship contention.
Bauman traveled to the Bay Area on Thursday to complete negotiations and the two sides finalized a deal on Friday afternoon.
The Warriors didn't want to risk the consequences of a healthy, productive 2013-14 season making Bogut the most attractive free-agent center on the market next summer. The Warriors have several key players – including Bogut, guard Stephen Curry and forward Andre Iguodala – locked into long-term deals now.
Bogut started the final 32 games of the 2012-13 regular season – as well as the Warriors' 12 playoff games – and has remained healthy heading into this season.

For his career, Bogut has averaged 12.2 points and 9.2 rebounds.
Bogut, who was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2005 NBA draft, played his first seven seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks. He was traded to Golden State with Stephen Jackson for Monta Ellis, Ekpe Udoh and Kwame Brown.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Adding a front-court piece in hopes of finally returning to the playoffs, the Washington Wizardsacquired center Marcin Gortat from the Phoenix Suns in a multiplayer trade Friday.
Phoenix got injured center Emeka Okafor and a top-12-protected first-round draft pick in 2014 - giving the rebuilding Suns potentially four choices in the opening round.
The Suns also sent guards Kendall Marshall, Shannon Brownand Malcolm Lee to Washington so the deal will work financially. The Wizards are expected to waive all three.
The 6-foot-11, 240-pound Gortat averaged 11.1 points and 8.5 rebounds last season. He is entering his eighth NBA season, and has averaged 8.6 points and 6.9 rebounds while playing for Orlando, Toronto and Phoenix.
In a news release announcing the deal, Wizards President Ernie Grunfeld referred to Gortat as a ''very consistent and productive inside presence'' who ''pushes us further toward our goal of becoming a playoff team.''
Okafor, the 2004-05 NBA Rookie of the Year, has been sidelined indefinitely by a herniated disk in his neck. He arrived in Washington before last season in a trade from New Orleans.
With a young, dynamic pair of guards in John Wall and Bradley Beal, along with rookie small forward Otto Porter, the Wizards were in need of help from a big body as they try to reach the postseason for the first time since 2007-08.
Washington went 29-53 last season, missing out on the playoffs for the fifth consecutive year. Since their last trip to the postseason - in 2007-08, when Gilbert Arenas, Antawn Jamison and Caron Butler were still on the roster - the Wizards haven't even won 30 games in a season once. They had a low of 19 wins in 2008-09.
But they've overturned the roster in recent years, rebuilding around Wall, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2010 draft, who recently signed an $80 million extension. Beal and Porter both were the No. 3 overall pick.
The Suns, meanwhile, went 25-57 last season and are embarking on a similar project with an eye to the future. Friday's trade is the latest in a flurry of moves by new general manager Ryan McDonough, formerly Danny Ainge's top aide with the Boston Celtics.
Marshall was the 13th overall choice in the 2012 draft, but the Suns had a glut of guards, including Goran Dragic and Eric Bledsoe.
The Suns now could have their own pick, Indiana's and Minnesota's, in addition to Washington's, in the first round of next year's draft, which McDonough said in a news release ''is shaping up to be the best draft in a decade.''
He also made reference to Okafor's possible contributions ''when and if he is able to return from injury.''
